Thomas Greer, M.D.

Dr. Thomas Greer is a board-certified family practitioner with 35 years of experience serving patients throughout the Dayton community. Known for his compassionate, patient-centered approach to care, Dr. Greer is dedicated to helping each individual live their best life through thoughtful, values-based medical care and long-term partnership.

A Dayton native, Dr. Greer earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Duke University before graduating from University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1988. He completed his residency in family practice at St. Elizabeth Hospital and has cared for patients across the Dayton region since completing his training in 1991.

Throughout his career, Dr. Greer has remained deeply committed to both patient care and medical education. He previously served as part-time community faculty for the St. Elizabeth Residency Program and Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine, helping mentor and train future physicians. He has also held several leadership roles, most recently serving as Medical Director of the Senior Health Connect program from 2019 to 2025.

Dr. Greer offers extensive experience in preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and whole-person family care. His patients know him best for taking the time to listen carefully, explain conditions and treatment options clearly, and work collaboratively to create a path forward that aligns with each patient’s goals and values. In recent years, he has placed additional focus on helping patients navigate the physical and emotional challenges that can accompany aging, including complex medical conditions, functional decline, and end-of-life care.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Greer and his wife, Patti, enjoy Celtic music and culture, cycling, and traveling. He is also an active member of the Dayton Rugby Football Club.
